From Picnic in Nor...

From Picnic in Nor...

From Picnic in Nor...

From Picnic in Nor...

From Picnic in Nor...

From Picnic in Nor...

Koldo I will kill u!!!!!

Buenas noches, Bonanit, Good Night ;)

:P ups!!!

Yesterday was a very special night!;) UTS housing celebrated the Annual Residents Dinner, an special event hosted in UTS great hall for all the residents. We had to dress formal/fashionable/fabulous and I think we did. After my afternoon meeting with the Red Team (which I didnt pay a lot of attention because I was looking to the preparatives of the dinner) I went home to start dressing, hair, make up and so. I spent almost 2 hours trying to domesticate my hair, cause you know its wavy and never stays like I want it to stay. Finally I think it worked. I wanted to do a hairstyle like my sister always did to me but I tried my best and I am not sure If I succeeded. Then the make up session, when again I missed my sister a lot, because she is the queen of styles, she knows everything about that, but again I tried and the result was quite good for my lack of experience jejeje I went to Min Ji's to help her with the election of her dress and I showed her mine and later we went downstairs to meet Silvia and Manu. We all looked so gorgeus, Manu, Silvia, MinJi ... And we walked to UTS with just one gentleman for the three girls (but I think Manu was quite happy of that jejeje). Once we arrived, we registered our names, we got the sticker with the name and we started with the pre-drink. Everyone was fabulous (except 1 or 2, like Riky, not Ricardo, Riky from Geegal) and the place was awesome! We met there Bulga Girls, Dani who looked really great (maybe because I helped him with the outfit jejeje anyway the white tie was the key!), and at the end Ricardo and Tom arrived to the event really "happy" ;) We were all in different tables, but as the dinner was in an unusual way, I only spent the first course in my table. It was like first/dance/second/dance/dessert/dance ... So I moved to table 34 with Silvia, Manu and Ricardo. The dinner was quite good (Salad with crudites, lamb, and cheese cake with red fruits and so + coffees&teas) and the music was kind of classic, but funny for the night. They played many classic songs, some slow ones (Stand by me, Forever young ...), it was like the typical proms that we never had in Barcelona (My high school graduation party was formal but we ended up really drunk in a random disco). It ended by 12 and then we went to Broadway bar for a while and to Cargo, but my feet really hurt so I left Cargo early and went to sleep! Now, here you have the photoooos !!!

Australia's sons let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia fair!"

Happy Sant Jordi to all of you!!!

Its just starting but I hope its going to be bright and sunny! Sant Jordi with rain its sad ... Btw I am still waiting for the roses ejem ejem ... jejejeje

Today its been a great day, we has our weekly sunday lunch. We were 14, and the chefs were Dani and me. We met this morning at 12 to buy all the stuff and find the cockles! (berberechos, or vongole or whatever nobody knows the name ... ) We bought everything and then we went to the rooftop to cook. Dani started with the escalivada and I started with the garlic, parsley and the cockles. We cooked an impressive amount of pasta 2kg!!!!

And there was much more that what we need or we were able to eat (so we have had pasta and escalivada for dinner too!). The weather was not really good but we have a lot of fun and we made lots of pictures. Here you can see a little collage about us making angry faces, because its funny to see our angry looks, dont miss some of them (I think they are very funny when they are angry! jejejeje):

After lunch we went to Min Ji's apartment to watch a movie "Love Actually" and then I came back to study a bit but less than an hour later they came to my apartment to have dinner and we have finished right now.

Tomorrow more routine, more assignments and plenty of things to do! But I have one episode of Prison Break to watch! and perhaps I am going to get the rest of them sooner!!! If Tom can get them jejejeje please pleaseeeee

Its been a great day guys, see u tomorrow! good night ;)! kisses to everybody

;) jejejeje

Friday, April 20, 2007

Well, this week is over and it has gone pretty good at last. On Tuesday I delivered the first assignment, in a hurry but well, on wednesday I had the exam and I think I did pretty well too (although I dont like to say how I feel about an exam because I am so bad predicting ...) and yesterday we had a presentation! 20 min for me and 20 min for Dani (Thank God....) I started and at the begining I was quite nervous and I was talking incredibly fast ... Dani continued with the presentation and then I finished it with the last examples and this part was much better than the first one, I spoke slowly and as clear as I can and I am proud of the results (maybe the oral communication classes and the eurotop conference did some effect on me at last!!!) After that I went to Dani's place to have lunch. He cooked lentils (in spanish lentejas con chorizo) which was excellent (and he said it was his first time!!!!) and we went shopping for a bit, cause next week its the residence ball and we have to be fabulous, formal and fashionable jejeje I already have a dress but some people dont. Firstly we went to Bway shopping center where we didnt find anything suitable or cheap ... Then we went to paddys market (the chinese market, cheaper) and we found some clothes to him. I bought a jacket for the winter (very warm and was quite cheap!) and Dani bought a suit jacket, a pair of shoes, a sweater and a pair of jeans which fitted very good on him :P Then I came back home to sleep for a couple of hours, and as every Thursday night we went to Nude, where we found Ricardo, back from Fiji with a nice sun tan 5-days beard and short pants, and after Nude we obviously went to Side Bar.

So now lets go back to Tasmania again ......

Day 4 (April 11th)
We left Lauceston to go up north to the natural parks. At first we stopped in a look out where we took the traditional group photos:
From Tasmania

And then we went to a beach. That beach reminded me a lot of Abel Tasman park in New Zealand. Actually I had a video walking in the beach where I say "It reminds me a lot to New Zealand Carlos, lets see if theres any little crabs", do you remember Carlos? jejejeje It was a huge beach and nobody except us was there. We took loads of pictures and then we went somewhere else in the park.
From Tasmania

Finally we took some photos of our shadows and guess who are them (jejeje no porno or cuucumbers in the beachhhh boys ):
From Tasmania

And then we got to the cars
From Tasmania

and continued the trip to the north (the last point of the day was stanleys nut). We stop for lunch near there and we took a little siesta (just ten clock minutes efficiently timed by Ricardo :P
From Tasmania

And then we finally ended up in Stanleys nut, which was a very little town, as dead as all the towns in Tasmania but a cable car ? (I dont remember the exact word) that takes you up to the nut where you can have striking sights. We took the "cable car" to go up
From Tasmania

After that we went to look for the hostel. Firstly we didnt have any night booked but we decided to change the night and spend it in Cradle Mountain National Park. It was a cozy YHA, in the middle of nowhere, and all the rooms where cabins. As I drove all the morning, it was Silvias turn so she took us to the YHA. The road was really tough, and there werent any signals! Thank God we had the GPS because we could have got lost very easily. While we were driving, we were talking about how many dead animals we had found on the road: wallabies, possums, rabbits ... Then ... Suddenly a big fat ass possum decided to cross the road in front of our car! crashhh!!! aaaaah!!!!! Silvia did really well and she hold the wheel thightly and we kept driving. We have murdered a possum ( a possum its like a bit fat rat, with the size of a small dog maybe). We where shocked, like cryin and laughing at the same time and 5 minutes later ... a wallabie decided to commit suicide and tried to cross the road in front of our car again! patapam!!! he left his life doing "la croqueta" ... poor thing ... Few minutes before arriving to the YHA the on fire car hit another wallabie, but it was kind of soft compared to us ... Once we arrived there we looked at the car and it was really ... mmmm ... you can imagine ... The Yha was really nice, and we stayed in cabins of four. We have dinner and we went for a walk (in pyjama) to the middle of nowhere. Then we came back, we drank a little bit more of lambrusco australiano (you can imagine ... ) and we played psychologist and the bottle and truth or dare (like if we were kids in a camp jejejeje) and we finally went to sleep. I slept really good that night! (maybe because of too much lambrusco! :P) That night we started a chemical experiment on Uri. Manu said that if you put your hand into water while you are sleeping you will pee. Uri said that he didnt believed it and offer himself to prove it. At the end he was right and he didnt pee, although our experimental team tried many times! He sleeps like a baby, nothing disturbs him (how cute jejeje there are videos too!!!):

Day 5 (April 12th)
Our journey started in Lake Saint Clair, a really beautiful part of the Cradle Mountain National park, and we took a walk around the lake. It wasnt a really long walk but we stopped a lot to take photos and so.
From Tasmania

From Tasmania

From Tasmania

After the lake, the information center recommended us to go to Montezuma falls, which was 1 hour away from where we were. We stopped to have lunch (fish and chips, I am starting to hate it ... ) and we arrived there. The rain forest was awesome, it remind me a lot of NZ (Te Anau and so) We walked for a bit, not a lot because there were just another hour of light, and we reached some kind of falls (I am not sure if they were the right ones ...)
From Tasmania

Then, the light was sone so we went straight to the yha in Strahan, and it tooked a bit to find it even with the GPS! (Tasmania is really disconnected from the world ... seriously ...) The guys went to the groceries and bought some stuff to make spanish tortillas (tortilla de patatas) because we were fed up of doritos and sandwiches ... The tortillas were awesome! and then we played Doctor Love. I wont tell you what it is about ... Maybe some day we will play ;) and we went to sleep, our last sleeping night in Tasmania!

April 13th our last day in Tasmania
Our target today was to reach Russell Falls with enough light. We started quite well, we drove like for ages and we stopped in a national park (Mountfield) to have lunch). I ate a quiche and some salad, and we took some nice pictures of the lake

-Sarah like if she were in the catwalk (sexyyy ;))
From Tasmania

-And me:

Then I wanted to stop in the road because I saw some nice signals and I wanted to take the pictures. They were so cuuuuteeeee!!!!

(Be careful with the wombats)
From Tasmania

(and with the hedgehog? too)
From Tasmania

Look at the road (your never going to find anything like this anywhere in the world)
From Tasmania

And we took some more pictures with a signal of "be aware of the kangaroos/wallabies at night or you will crash" and our serial killer car!
From Tasmania

Then we took the road again, Silvias time, I had some siesta meanwhile, and we arrived to Russell Falls. It was awesome, wonderful, whatever you want to name it. We didnt have much light of the day left but we went to see the falls from the bottom and from the top:

From Tasmania

From Tasmania

From Tasmania

We came back to the cars when it was already dark. It was scary, cause all the animals started to show up and we were walking and watching some black things moving up and down and running but you couldnt see them clearly!!! In the car park we found another uggly possum like the one we murdered some days before

After that we went to Hobart to have dinner at Mures and spend the time until our flight which was at 6 in the morning. I dont remember many things about this night, not because I was drunk, cause I wasnt drunk, but I slept some big parts of the night. After Mures we went to some Irish pub which name was something with Murphys (like our scruffy Murphys) and then Silvia and me decided to go back to the cars and have some sleep with the blankets we stole :P

the others went to a bakery and then they returned to the car park and started to sing (I dont remember any of that). Then we had to go to the airport, I was so tired so Silvia drove there, and we continued sleeping there until the time for checkin in and returning the cars. We were like a zombie army, and we all sleep in the plane on the way back to Sydney. Once we arrived there we left Quique and Ricardo in the airport (because they were going to Fiji as everyone knows jejeje) and we came back home and slept from 9 am to 4.30 pm!!!

Next day we organized a post Tassie Lunch in Gumal rooftop, and Koldo (as the chef) Uri and Gordon (as pinches) cooked fish at the oven, and we had a wonderful Sunday!

Ok, thats all for now! I am still waiting of more photos and the ones of Sarahs birthday!!! It was a really nice trip guys, you are really great! I enjoyed a lot and I will remember it forever ;) Thanks, kisses
